“ Today, we are primarily focused on meeting the requirements of the Indian consumer.
“ In light of this, we are increasing refining capacity by 25 %. Our projects are already being executed and, by the 2026 / 7 financial year, we will be increasing capacity by 25 %. Today, we’ re at around 80 million tonnes of crude processing capacity, including our subsidiary CPCL. We’ re hoping to be processing around 105 million tonnes moving forward. We are one of the very few companies that is actually increasing refining capacity in India, as well as across the world.
“ We are doing this to meet the availability requirements of fossil fuels for Indian customers. The question on everybody ' s mind is how we’ re going to become a refining hub – how we have to move forward and how we have to develop ourselves. That question is still there. But today, I am focusing on the domestic market.” energydigital. com 45
