IMASONS
“ We translate those guiding principles into measurable impact through how we structure our initiatives. We create these collaborative frameworks and environments that build in accountability – not just from iMasons to the world as an organisation, but accountability from each and every one of our members as well,” she says.
“ The iMasons Foundation represents one channel for that work, directing funding towards education, scholarships and career pathway development as a means of addressing the skills deficit in the sector by creating real career pathways for people to come into the industry and build that future.
“ The Climate Accord encapsulates another. Our cross-industry coalition is developing open standards and maturity models for carbon reporting, with the aim of enabling consistent measurement and tracking of emissions reductions across power, materials and equipment.”
Cyre adds that the operational architecture of iMasons is built around
PARTNERSHIP STRATEGY AND THE ROLE OF GLOBAL PARTNERS
iMasons’ partners span technology providers, energy companies, construction and services firms, governments and educational institutions. These diverse representatives engage through advisory councils, initiative working groups and member focus groups. According to Cyre, their participation shapes the direction of iMasons’ work as much as any internal planning process. Three partnerships illustrate the range of that engagement.
Cyre lauds iMasons’ partnership with Jenbacher, an INNIO brand.“ We partner with them on power, resiliency, sustainability and the transition to net-zero digital infrastructure,” she explains.“ That collaborative focus on power and energy is driving leadership and governance in a way that advances sustainability goals. The partnership really reflects the shared commitment we have together to enable scalable, resilient and cleaner power infrastructure.”
“ Southwire is another of our global partners, and they bring a focus on the full infrastructure lifecycle – wire, cable and engineered solutions – alongside work on environmental product declarations and Scope 3 emissions reduction. Southwire’ s lifecycle perspective helps iMasons tackle system-level challenges with unique insights.
“ Bulk is another great example of a global partner that is really aligned with us on large-scale, high-capacity infrastructure designed to support global demand growth – which takes a unique set of skills.
“ Our partnership is focused more on sustainable infrastructure, as Bulk has deep experience in real estate and dark fibre. Sustainability is at the core of everything they do, and they bring a particular focus on the Nordics region. Together, we get to elevate best practices from one of the world’ s most innovative regions, and they’ re really informing the global conversation on sustainability and digital infrastructure because of that unique regional knowledge.”
