MORTEN WIERØD
After more than 25 years with the business , Morten Wierød has become ABB ’ s President and CEO .
The Norwegian joined ABB in 1998 and has held a variety of senior leadership roles , including President of Motion and Managing Director of Control Products , as well as VP of operations in China .
His most recent position , President of ABB ’ s Electrification Business , saw Morten lead ABB ’ s approach to driving efficient and sustainable electrification .
“ I am grateful that the Board has given me the opportunity to lead this great company with its people and technologies that are at the heart of building a lowcarbon society ,” Morten says .

Alan ’ s appointment is part of a strategic move from Aggreko to strengthen its provision of energy transition solutions . Under his leadership , Aggreko aims to address specific-sector and regional challenges for customers as well as accelerate its growth strategy and innovation .
