JOB FROM: INTERIM CHAIR OF BP JOB TO: CHAIR OF BP

bp has appointed Ian Tyler to the role of Chair, ending a search that began after the abrupt removal of his predecessor earlier this year. He had held the role on an interim basis since May but will now take it up permanently and with immediate effect. His appointment follows what bp has described as an“ extensive” search process involving both internal and external candidates. It also closes a difficult chapter for the company’ s boardroom, which has seen three different leadership arrangements at the top in under a year.
