Fatima Yasmin is a career civil servant , having joined the Economic Relations Division at the Ministry of Finance as the Secretary in 2003 . Previously , she worked at the Export Promotion Bureau as its vice chairman and served as the director general of the Institute of Public Finance ( IPF ), Finance Division , and Ministry of Finance . Since joining the Bangladesh civil service administrative cadre in 1988 , she has served in various capacities in the ministries of Agriculture , Women and Children Affairs and Defence as well as Finance Division and Economic Relations Division of the Ministry of Finance . She also worked as Project Manager of the International Jute Organization in 2002 , and as an economic adviser to the European Delegation in Dhaka in 2013 . As Chairman of IDCOL , Yasmin play a major role in bridging the financing gap for developing medium to large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects in the country . Under her leadership , the company has grown to become the market leader in private sector energy and infrastructure financing in Bangladesh .
