inevitably throws up practical challenges – for example , the company plans to upgrade its IT system from its current BAAN system to a newer , more web-based version next year , but Hind says there will be a long transitional phase due to the large number of part numbers used by the company but it will improve productivity and functionality .
But there ’ s an even bigger challenge that comes from having such a large range of offerings , and it ’ s one that Hind is keen to tackle . He says the company has now grown to the point where its operations need to be divided into more manageable verticals to ensure its continued success .
