His strong work ethic and high-level capabilities were quickly noticed by senior executives , earning him a promotion and assignment in the business development department where he was challenged by the CEO to develop a business plan to penetrate the midstream markets . Within 12 months , Mr . Smith identified and negotiated multiple master service agreements , generated sole source business opportunities , and created strong longterm business relationships for Foster Wheeler in the midstream market . Because of his immediate success at Foster Wheeler , Mr . Smith ’ s responsibilities quickly grew to include work in the petrochemical , gas monetization , and LNG industries , and he was challenged with the task of increasing the company ’ s commercial exposure to the North American petrochemical and LNG markets . Ultimately this business line became the largest revenue generating division in the company . In 2013 , Mr . Smith led an 11-month proposal effort that resulted in Foster Wheeler winning a $ 2.4 billion EPC project in the U . S . Gulf Coast , the largest project in the company ’ s 100 + years of business . With this accomplishment , he achieved recognition as the # 1 global sales person in a company of over
13,000 employees . He was promoted to the role of Senior Account Executive in 2014 , placing him in an elite group of energy industry executives who excel in developing business and commercial strategies to advance their respective company goals . In his last year at Foster Wheeler , Mr . Smith led a team that supported an early stage LNG developer successfully raise over $ 100 million for their LNG project . Mr . Smith is currently serving as the Executive Director of Business Development for SCT & E LNG and is primarily responsible for the commercial development of the company ’ s Monkey Island LNG project . Mr . Smith is responsible for identifying and negotiating LNG offtake sales contracts , raising capital , and developing the EPC strategies for the company . He works directly with and is a key advisor to both the CEO of SCT & E LNG and its Board of Directors . His professional experience in the energy industry combined with his ability to quickly build relationships and develop trust and rapport with colleagues has made him a successful member of the SCT & E LNG team and a well-respected player in the LNG industry . Outside of his career , Eric is a loving husband of eight years and proud father of three children . He resides in Houston , Texas , and spends his free time with his family and playing golf .
