of themselves and their families . The program consists of five areas to aid employees , including fitness centers , health centers , health promotion , nutrition services and counseling services through its Employee Assistance Program ( EAP ).
On-site fitness centers are offered at 66 company locations . Within their two supervised fitness centers , 65 percent of eligible employees are enrolled , and 53 percent of those are active users . At NextEra ’ s health centers , employees and their family members receive high-quality primary care and other services such as nutritional counseling , blood work , physical therapy and radiology services .
NextEra health and well being staff professionals make on-site presentations on topics ranging from healthy eating to back health and physical activity . The staff also conducts health screenings and offers employees the flu shot vaccine . The company also insists on stocking its vending machines with healthy snacks for employee betterment and enjoyment .
