SETOUCHI KIREI SOLAR POWER PLANT
Being built on 1,120 acres on the former Kinkai salt field in Setouchi City , Okayama Prefecture , the estimated $ 1.1 billion project has received nearly $ 900 million in loans from banks . This is the largest amount of debt ever raised in Japan for a clean power project , which is fitting for a project expected to be the largest solar farm in Japan when completed in 2019 .
Power generated will be provided to Chugoku Electric Power Company under a 20-year PPA .
