dual arrays of Prospero Solar I and II marked a major milestone for utility-scale solar in Texas when they first entered service in 2021. The twin projects helped to show that Texas was becoming just as important to solar generation as it has long been to oil and gas. Together the facilities cover thousands of acres in West Texas, where abundant sunshine and transmission links create the ideal conditions for renewable energy.
